Dear Parent/Carer
Every year we have taken the opportunity to celebrate our Year 9 students at a graduation ceremony. This ceremony symbolises the students taking the next step in their academic career with us at Outwood Academy City Fields.
The graduation ceremonies will take place:
- Wednesday 9 July for X band
- Thursday 10 July for Y band
At the end of this Praising Stars(c) cycle students will receive a red, amber, or green card which will signify whether they are graduating. Students who are awarded green will receive an invitation to their graduation, which will give further information about the ceremony. The students have been informed during assembly that the criteria for graduating are as follows:
- No E4s
- 95% attendance
- 20 Honours badges
However, we believe that every student should have the opportunity to celebrate this stepping stone to GCSEs. Therefore, amber students (with 1 E4 or attendance issues) will be put on a subject report to the Head of Department or an attendance report to Mr Batley. Whilst red students, will be put a report to Mrs Wake (Assistant Principal) in order to show that they are able to make the right choices in order to succeed.
Yours faithfully
Michelle Colledge-Smith
