Dear Parent/Carer
Praising Stars(c) is out and we are very proud of the hard work that Year 10 has shown so far this year. Lots of exciting things to come this year and opportunities so please watch this space. Some subjects will have given out revision guides, students need to look after these and use them as they are investments for their exam future. This year they have the opportunity to gain a GCSE and this will serve them well as they develop the skills and knowledge to develop good exam techniques going forward.
November Mock Assessment
Please find below the date for a mock assessment for Religious Studies for students in Year 10. Students have been working hard with their classroom teacher to prepare for this assessment. The purpose of this is to gauge the current level of work of students, provide clarity on what students understand and to further inform the teacher of where there are gaps in knowledge.
Breakfast is available free of charge from 8 am in the Brasserie. Students must be on site by 8.15 am to get registered before an exam. A pre exam brief will take place in the Brasserie by a lead teacher of that subject before students are led to the exam room for the published start time. Normal lessons will take place when there is no exam.
Friday 15 November 2024 9am-11am 2 hours
Additionally to this there may be some students who will sit their mock assessment in a community language which has been discussed with individual students who speak another language fluently at home.
Monday 11 November 2024 1pm-2.30pm 1.5 hours Writing
Wednesday 20 November 2024 1pm-2.45pm 1.75 hours Reading and Listening
If you have any concerns or questions relating to exam issues please contact Mrs Steele at school.
Yours faithfully
